Just how much exercise is necessary to acquire the benefits of cognitive functioning? A study suggests that 10 minutes is enough.
Researchers maintain short bursts of exercise could be beneficial to temporarily boosting brain power in an article entitled, “Study links exercise, brain power boost.”
Matthew Heath, university Kinesiology professor and a supervisor in the Neuroscience graduate programWestern University investigators in London, Canada, said. “This shows that people can cycle or walk briskly for a short duration, even once, and find immediate benefits.”
So before you give your students the next test, get them up and moving for 10 minutes with Brain Breaks or other physical activities to ensure their best performance outcomes.
